THE HEALTHY HEART WORKSHOP
- Join us for a health awareness workshop led by expert speakers, focused on raising awareness about cancer and heart-related diseases.
Workshop Details:
Duration: Every Friday, 5 PM prompt from 14th June 2024 for 8 weeks.
Location: Manchester Settlement, Openshaw, M11 1JG.
Objectives:
To help African and Caribbean communities in North Manchester improve their health by enhancing fitness and flexibility.
To encourage regular exercise to prevent health issues such as diabetes and heart disease.
To ensure activities are enjoyable and culturally relevant.
To educate participants on the health benefits of regular exercise.
To provide information and programs on how to maintain an active lifestyle.

Introduction
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Autism Awareness event, generously funded by Lankelly Chase. This special event was an incredible opportunity to support individuals living with autism and to educate our community about this condition that can affect any family at any time.

AWARENESS AND WELL BEING SESSIONS IN MARCH
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS SESSION
This session will take place on the 22ND March 2024 from 4pm to 6pm at Manchester Settlement OpenshAW.
The guest speaker at this event is FOLASHADE ALONGE , An experienced/ qualified Psychotherapist/Counsellor with master’s degree in counselling and Psychotherapy with over 19 years of work experience with public and private setting including healthcare sector and voluntary sector.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS
On behalf of our community members, Ceebee Gold Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to Inspector Imran Abbasi of the Greater Manchester Police, specifically to PC 17743 Mahlina Khan and her colleagues from the Greater Manchester Police Department, for their exceptional contribution as domestic violence speakers at our event held on March 15th, 2024. We were truly honoured to host these remarkable individuals, whose professionalism was evident in delivering clear explanations and expertly addressing attendee questions, along with providing thorough aftercare information. We start 2024 with a bang with a project that will aim to Create a safe and relaxed environment where individuals can mix with their peers, socialise and enjoy healthy refreshments.
The first event will start from Friday, 5th January from 4pm to 6pm . Everyone is welcome

SPECIAL VISIT BY THE LORD MAYOR OF MANCHESTER
Onr 16th February, we received a special Guest , Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Yasmine Dar to officially witness our special COMMUNITY CATCH UP ACTIVITIES SESSION. It was great having the mayor to recognise our effort in bringing the community together.
